Superintendent

Welcome to our website! I encourage you to also check out our Center Cass School District 66 page on Facebook or on Twitter @timarnoldsupt or @ccsd66.

District 66 is a public school district serving just over 1,070 students in grades EC-8 in the communities of Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Darien. Our learning community is committed to challenging, inspiring, and empowering each of our learners every day! We are fortunate to have teachers who are dedicated to doing what’s best for students and parents who are supportive of our schools.

Communication:  Effective communication and transparency are valued by our district and we use our website and social media to ensure our community is well-informed.  The decisions we make in District 66 are measured by the impact it will have on the achievement and well-being of our students. We welcome community participation in that process!

Strategic Priorities for 2018-19:  Each year the Board of Education establishes Strategic Priorities as a focus of our improvement efforts. These Strategic Priorities are developed by the District Leadership Team and are anchored in the District 66 Strategic Plan.  The 2018-19 Strategic Priorities include social-emotional learning, data-driven decision making, and implementing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).  The impact of the Strategic Priorities is measured by a variety of indicators such as student assessments, surveys (student, staff, and parent), and fidelity checklists.

Community Involvement:  Community members may sign up to receive emails from the District Office by completing this form. Members of the community are also invited to serve on one of several district-level committees.  If you have questions about how to become more involved with District 66, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (630) 783-5155 or  tarnold@ccsd66.org.

Thank you,

Tim Arnold Ph.D.

Superintendent's background:
Prior to becoming a superintendent in 2012, I served in a district of 13,500 students as an elementary building principal, middle school assistant principal, high school dean of students, and special education teacher.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Stacie, since 1987. We have five terrific children, a daughter-in-law, and one grandson! I enjoy running, baseball (go Cubs!), and working on projects around the house. I truly appreciate the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and parents of Center Cass School District 66!
